Brighton & Hove Labour For the many, not the few
Covid-Safe Public Spaces

The Brighton and Hove Labour Group, and the GMB Union, are campaigning for Covid-safe public spaces.
We are conscious that despite the Government dropping Covid restrictions, the risk of transmission remains high, as do case numbers within the city.
That’s why we are asking local residents and businesses to sign our pledge for Covid-safe public spaces, and ensure we all keep wearing our masks and maintaining our distance in public spaces indoors.
Our Pledge:
Covid cases remain persistently high in Brighton & Hove, and by lifting the Covid restrictions, the Government has left workers in a precarious and unsafe position.
We expect our shops, restaurants, pubs, bars, cinemas, buses and more to open as usual with no protection from coronavirus in place. This is wrong.
That is why we are pledging to work with residents and local businesses to keep our public spaces Covid-safe.
We pledge to wear masks and maintain distance indoors and encourage others to do the same, in order to protect one another and help get our city moving again.
Join us in protecting residents and workers in the city, and sign our pledge below.
