 The FAIR SHOP on 21 Queens Road in Brighton, a historic fashion landmark, home to Brighton Biba in the 1960s, was launched in 2008 by a group of women who followed their passion to create a multi-brand ethical and Fair Trade shop that placed an emphasis on sustainability, without compromising on style. 

FAIR was one of the first shops in the country to specialise in Fair Trade and sustainable fashion. With this core ethos in mind, Siobhan, the owner, has been partnering with like-minded brands to create valuable collaborations to inspire FAIR’s customer base and have a more positive impact on the environment. 

For this holiday season, FAIR initiated a beautiful and very relevant collaboration with MADE51. MADE51 is a global brand created by UNHCR which connects refugee artisans with local social enterprises to design, make and market home decor and accessories across the world. 

The brand was established to help refugees achieve economic independence by being part of a sustainable value chain. The local social enterprises work directly with refugee artisan groups to develop and produce a line in the MADE51 collection. MADE51 is supported by an international network of strategic partners which contribute technical skills and expertise to help integrate refugees into the global marketplace.
