Hands off Moulsecoomb!

Brighton and Hove Labour councillors are proud to support parents, teachers and unions in fighting against the forced academisation of Moulsecoomb Primary School.

The Department of Education is planning to take control of the school out of the local authority and put it into the hands of a multi-academy trust in an attempt to improve the school. There is no substantial evidence that academisation improves schools and often results in excessive salaries for CEOs which diverts money away from the classroom and makes the school less accountable to parents and the local community.
