Cllr Penn: Let’s stand up against mental health discrimination

This week in the  Brighton and Hove Independent Cllr Caroline Penn wrote about Mental Health.

At the Full Council meeting this week I will be signing the Time to Change Pledge on behalf of Brighton and Hove City Council.

In doing so, the council will be joining a wide range of organisations – businesses, universities and even football clubs, in taking a stand against the stigma associated with mental health.

The charity Time to Change was started by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness in order to change public attitudes towards mental health. In signing the Time to Change pledge, the council has committed to promoting better mental health for all members of staff and take a lead in challenging stigma.
